Why work for us?
Your curiosity will shape our future

Why work for us?
LV= General Insurance (LV= GI) is transforming. We’re forging a new path as we strive to become Britain’s best loved. We need people who share our ambition and purpose to join us as we shape the future of our industry and beyond.
We’re embarking on a fresh chapter as we move into new markets, and we’re excited about our future. So if you’re passionate, innovative and brimming with ideas, we’d love to hear from you.
Learning and Development
Whether you’re pursuing your passion or still searching for your path, we’re behind you every step of the way. Not only do we carry out reviews to track and support your progression, we offer personal development plans and training programmes to help you do your job, or grow into a job you aspire to. We also run shadowing and coaching schemes across the business.
Our Transformation Academy is a great example of how we invest in our people. From upskilling and reskilling LV= GI employees from across the business to partnering with Bristol University to grow our data science capabilities and taking on digital apprentices. It’s all part of our commitment to recognising the importance of digital skills and investing in the future of our business.
Enthusiasm and proactivity go a long way around here. So never be afraid to put your hand up to help out, or volunteer to try new things. Dream big and seek out opportunities that interest you, and we’ll support you all the way. Because we want you to be the best you can be.

Diversity and inclusion
Diversity and inclusion (D&I) is so much more than a box-ticking exercise at LV= GI. For us, it’s about creating a sense of belonging for everyone who works here. So we go out of our way to make sure that our people feel comfortable bringing their whole-selves to work, every day. That’s why signed up to a number of initiatives and memberships such as the Women in Finance Charter, Working Families, The Business in the Community, Stonewall and the Business Disability Forum to help support and guide us on our D&I Journey. And more recently, we’re proud to have been recognised in The Inclusive Top 50 UK Employers rankings.
Having recently recruited 50 Diversity and Inclusion Champions from across our business, we’re wholeheartedly committed to embedding D&I initiatives in every layer of our organisation. Because we know that having a broad range of perspectives makes for a more interesting place to work. And it helps us to better understand our marketplace and diverse customer base.
Leadership at LV= GI
Things are moving pretty fast around here. So having strong, effective leadership in place is crucial as we continue to shape our culture, our future and our direction. That’s why we look for inspirational leaders who can set strategies, manage change and motivate our people, nurturing a culture of continuous improvement.
Our leaders don’t rest on their laurels. They’re change-makers. Go-getters. Curious types who drive us to build on what we do well. And improve what we know we can do better with a try, test and learn approach. So naturally, we invest a lot into empowering them to be truly innovative in their approach. In fact, we’ve recently launched our Best Loved Leaders development programme. It’s an amazing opportunity for those selected to work towards a Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management from the Chartered Institute of Management.
